Nancy (In The Speaker's Chair)

(The original, of course, was Nancy With The Laughing Face, and it featured the melodic and harmonic gifts of the great and still hugely underrated Jimmy van Heusen. Sinatra wanted a song about his little baby girl, and he wasn't a guy you said "No" to. Especially if you were his favorite composer and you wanted to continue to be his favorite composer. The original lyric---by Phil Silvers, believe it or not--- was sweet and sentimental, although not over the top. My parody lyric , on the other hand, is over the top---because the subject is itself over the top, wa-a-a-ay over the top. "Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi" makes about as much sense as "Nobel Peace Prize Winner Yasir Arafat." (He did??? You're kidding!))
